To continue our International Series, we invited Nynke Hillebrand, RVT, stateside recently, albeit virtually, to discuss life as a veterinary technician in The Netherlands! We met Nynke in 2013 when the three of us tested for the AVECCTN exam. Nynke came to San Diego, CA, all the way from The Netherlands for that exam.  Without giving too much away here, there are far more similarities than differences, and we believe hearing about all of that will be as fascinating to you as it was to us!  Spoiler alert, many of the same challenges we face in the US are also challenges faced there. Additionally, Nynke has transitioned out of a clinical role after experiencing burnout, and now is a certified systemic therapist and works with veterinarians and veterinary staff.
