Tristin Kate Smith Go Fund Me: https://gofund.me/6ab901e4
On August 7, 2023, Tristin Kate Smith, a 28 yr old Ohio nurse, took her own life. The next day, her family found a letter she wrote titled, A Letter to me Abuser. The abuser is the healthcare system and the victims are nurses. The response from the medical community has been overwhelming. Tristin eloquently captured what all nurses experience and feel. Tristin's father, Ron Smith, and sister, Sarah Smith join Nurse Erica and Nurse Jessica to share their story for the first time. While this is a difficult conversation, it is an important one. Nurses are committing suicide at unprecedented rates. Please continue sharing Tristin's letter and sending it to your representatives. And please consider donating to the Go Fund Me (above) Tristin's family has set up, so they may continue to spread Tristin's message and prevent future tragedies.
