What is the Google Certified Coaching Program?

How does it work?

Participants work through the Google Certified Coaching Curriculum, complete the skills assessment, and submit their application along with a portfolio. Rolling applications - notification within 4-6 weeks.


What are the requirements?

Level 1 and Level 2 Google Certified Educator


How long does the program take to complete?

The program is self-paced, but is designed to be completed throughout the school year.
The curriculum takes ~ 20 hours to complete. Once completed participants take an assessment and then assemble their portfolio to submit along  with their application.

What do you learn from the program?

The program is centered on the 5-Step Coaching Model, and provides a structured, research-proven set of strategies to drive impactful coaching interactions and technology use. The focus, however, is not on the technology rather on building the relationships, making this program useful for all educators in a coaching role (not just for Tech Integrators). Google highlights their Workspace tools as a means to assist coaches in their work.


What is required to maintain your Certification?

Once a Google Certified Coach, you need to report 100 hours of 1:1       coaching per year to maintain certification on the EDU Activity App as well as maintain your Google Level 1 & 2 educator status.
