Weather in 5, 2/9/2024 The weekend is where and as a cold front passes through the Eastern US we will have near record highs ahead of it . Other than a few scattered showers in New England, the front comes through and settles to the south from the Carolains back to Texas. Low pressure develops in West Texas and tracks east northeast Sunday and Monday. Heavy rain is forecast across the South and Southeast. Eventually rain will spread up the coast Monday night. As the storm redevelops near the Delaware coast Monday night into Tuesday morning, rain will change to snow across Pennsylvania to Southern New England. This system has potential to produce heavy snows of 6 inches or more in this area.
