Description

The problem with the Republican Party is not Ronna McDaniel; it is the Republican Party. It is built upon corporate donor degeneracy and has no fixed views. Donald Trump was supposed to change that but has become the embodiment of it. Today, I give a long view – both at the federal level and in numerous red states – on how the party has not changed one iota since 2016 and has likely gotten worse. The problem with Trump endorsing Bud Light is not just that he is nuking our most successful boycott on a key issue; it’s that it embodies the problem with Trump and the GOP on every issue: They will not stand up to donors. Trump promised that his personal wealth would inoculate him from the desire to pander to donors, but I show how Trump actually supports the established business structure, which is why he also endorsed nearly every sitting incumbent Republican the past four election cycles. I’m sorry if the truth hurts. Some of us wanted to move on from the presidential primary, but when Trump gets in our lane, we have an obligation to right the ship.
