In the Western US a major storm that came into California Sunday continues to produce heavy rain in parts of Southern California with heavy snow in the mountains as well as for much of the Rockies westward. No important weather changes will occur in the Eastern US as temperatures rise late week. Long range looks colder next week with possible rain and snow chances.
