We're double dipping on Donkey Kong. Last week we talked about the OG arcade game, and this week we're talking about the hidden gem of the DK franchise: Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
For some reason, people seem to think I hate this game, and that couldn't be further from the truth. Do I think it's the third best game in the DKC trilogy? Yes. But I'd also put that trilogy up against just about any platforming trilogy ever made. I don't hate this game at all. I just hate Kiddy Kong.
My guest this week is long-time supporter of the show, Carbon Fibre Zombie (real name, as far as I know). We spent over an hour talking about why this game struggles to shine in the shadows of its older brothers, and why it shouldn't because it's still awesome. We also sing the praises of the greatest Kong of all-time (Dixie) and dump a little on the worst Kong (Kiddy)
And before we eat bananas, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro!
This week, someone asks if I had to choose, would I only play my favourite games of all-time, or all the other games ever made?? What the hell is going on with our Subreddit??? And where do/did I stand on POGs??
Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features the greatest platforming trilogy of all-time: Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and 3.
