It's one of our illustrious Patreon Poll winning episodes this week, and the winner in question is The Legend of Dragoon for the original PlayStation, which overcame 7 other JRPGs to get itself an episode of RTG.

This one was tough for me, because I didn't play it growing up, so I don't have the rose coloured nostalgia shades we all wear when we look back at the games we grew up with. I also don't love the JRPG genre as a whole. That said, I might not have loved this game, but I see why so many do. I think I give it the "tough but fair" treatment, and while the cons didn't sit all that well with me, there's some definite pros here, too.

My buddy Keegs DID grow up playing this one, and he's a pretty big fan. We spent over an hour talking about the funky combat, the awesome soundtrack, the weird-ass story, and everything in between.

And before we fuck up another one of Albert's additions, I slap together another edition of the 'Remember The Game? Infamous Intro'!

This week, someone writes in to defend soccer (football, whatever). If you could only play one, would you play all the games PRIOR to the PS2 era, or all the games after it?? And what do I want to see in Tears of the Kingdom?

Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 of the PSone's biggest RPGs: Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Suikoden II.
