Description
If you’re a caregiver, you’re an advocate for your loved one. Knowing what records to keep is important. Some things need to be saved, some can be shredded. If you stay organized, you’ll be able to find the documents you need in a crisis. A few of the items you want to make sure you keep are a current medication list, a healthcare history, and all documents related to advance directives or living wills. You’ll want to make sure that copies are easy to put your hands on and they’re kept secure. Another vital document is the Do Not Resuscitate document (or the equivalent in your state). Make sure that document is present, and goes wherever the patient goes. If healthcare documents are kept together and organized, it will make your caregiving journey easier. If you need more information about hospice, check out theheartofhospice.com. We’re here with support and encouragement for your end of life journey.
