Description

Parents whose child dies have special grief needs.  Bereaved Parents of the USA is dedicated to meeting those needs.  According to their website (bereaved parents usa.org), the organization exists to “provide a safe space where grieving families can connect, share our stories, and learn to rebuild our lives. We attend meetings whenever we can and for as long as we find helpful. We share our fears, confusion, anger, guilt, frustrations, emptiness, and feelings of hopelessness, knowing these emotions will be met with compassion and understanding. As we support, comfort and encourage one another, we offer hope and healing.”  They have chapters all across the United States, and have numerous resources for newly bereaved parents and siblings.  Find a chapter in your area by clicking here.  You can access their Resources page for more support.  If you’re a grief support or bereavement professional, Bereaved Parents USA is a great tool to help the clients you serve. If you need information about end of life and bereavement care, The Heart of Hospice is here to help you 24/7.  At theheartofhospice.com, you’ll find support for hospice shopping, self care, and advance care planning.  Stay connected with us through the podcast or write to us at host@theheartofhospice.com.  We care about your journey - you are The Heart of Hospice!
