When Shannon Falkenstein moved to El Salvador for love years ago she gained a unique perspective of the country. She created the FaceBook Expat page to share her newly gained insights. She and her husband began brewing beer in their home and soon created the very popular local Micro-Bewery Cadejo, along with a string of 12 Cadejo restaurants. Shannon Falkenstein's next entrepreneurial venture was in the field of education. She established her own Montessorai style school in San Salvador called Acton Academy.
