The Minnesota Wild dropped the first game of their 3 game Eastern Conference road trip by a score of 7-3 to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Wild actually led in this game 1-0 on Joel Eriksson Ek's 18th goal of the season. The Lightning however scored 3 straight goals to take a 3-1 lead. Marco Rossi scored his 13th goal of the season to cut the deficit to 3-2 in the second, but the Lightning scored again to make it 4-2. Jake Middleton added his 6th goal of the season to make it 4-3 after two periods. The Lightning scored three times in the third to seal the win. The Wild surrendered 3 Power Play goals in the defeat. Filip Gustavsson stopped 31 of 38 shots for the Wild, who play Florida tomorrow night to continue their road trip.
