The Minnesota Wild fell 4-3 in Edmonton to lose for the second straight game after winning the first 4 games of the John Hynes tenure. The Wild survived a flurry of shots from the Oilers in the first period, and thanks to Marc-Andre Fleury the Wild only trailed 1-0 despite being outshot 18-4. Matt Boldy and Joel Eriksson Ek scored 41 seconds apart to start the second to make it 2-1 Wild. Connor McDavid tied the game shortly later. Connor Dewar scored his 6th goal of the season to give the Wild a 3-2 lead, but Leon Draisaitl scored on the Power Play to make it 3-3. The Oilers added another Power Play goal after Jonas Brodin was injured to fall behind 4-3. Despite a final push, Stuart Skinner turned away the final few shots he faced to seal the win. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 36 of 40 shots and was saddled with the loss. The Wild head to Seattle to try to split the 4 game road trip on Sunday.
