Description
Mariéme Jamme is an award-winning Senegalese technologist and pioneer in system change. Born into poverty and sex trafficked as a child, she received no formal education and taught herself to read and write. Today, she is teaching 1 million women and girls to code, closing the gender gap in STEAMD (science, tech, engineering, art, math and design) and repositioning Africa in the tech race. We discuss the many faces and functions of power, from pure to corrupt, external to internal, and how to use YOUR power to shape the world.
