Republicans will gather in 1,600 precincts in Iowa on Monday, and after listening to speeches by each campaign, voters will write down their favorite candidate. The handwritten names are tallied on-site and reported both to the state party through traditional means and entered into an app for viewing. Former Aide to Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, Jimmy Centers previews the Iowa Caucuses, expecting ​this year's assembly to be especially interesting due to an increase of first-time caucus-goers, strong opposition to the incumbent candidate...and below-freezing temperatures. 

The Iowa Caucuses are on Monday, and former President Donald Trump is shaping up to be a shoo-in. However, inclement weather and sub-zero temperatures may make it difficult for people in the Hawkeye State to cast their ballot. Following his departure from the race, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was caught on a hot mic saying fellow candidate Nikki Haley would get "smoked" in the contest.
