Description
With the Iowa caucuses less than a week away,
all the polls are showing one clear message: former President Donald Trump
remains the Republican frontrunner. In the face of unprecedented legal troubles
and mounting lawsuits, the former president’s campaign has thrived as he speaks
out against these cases, which he calls election interference. Trump will join
Martha MacCallum, anchor and executive editor of The Story, and Bret Baier, FOX's
chief political anchor, on Wednesday for a town hall to discuss his
presidential campaign. Martha MacCallum joined the Rundown from Iowa to preview
the event and discuss where the candidates stand ahead of the first contest.
An Alaska Airlines flight made an emergency
landing as an equipment malfunction caused an emergency exit door to fly off of
the plane at 16,000 feet. The incident has called into question the safety of
the Boeing 737 Max 9, as Alaska Airlines has discovered more loose hardware on
other planes in their fleet. The National Transportation Safety Board has
launched an investigation into the cause of the door plug failure. Former NTSB
Accident Investigator and senior aerospace engineer and President of
Transportation Safety and Security Consulting, Charley Pereira, joins to
discuss the potential causes of the emergency, the potential consequences of
this failure, and what the FAA must do to ensure passenger safety.
Plus, commentary by columnist David Marcus.
