Description

After being met with insufficient care for her own PCOS struggle, Rachel Blank, founder and CEO of Allara set out to create a virtual care platform designed for the 1 in 3 women living with chronic hormonal and gynecologic conditions. Inspired by her time as director of strategy at Ro, Rachel saw an opportunity to utilize telemedicine to make access to better quality care easier and more affordable. Allara provides access to medical doctors and registered dieticians to provide ongoing collaborative care that supports patients holistically. PCOS isn’t always the easiest to diagnose and the symptoms and presentation may not look the same for everyone. Today we will discuss the different manifestations and coexisting conditions with PCOS and medication and strategies to manage symptoms - the controversies around birth control and pharmaceuticals, and so much more.Show Notes:Website: https://www.allarahealth.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/allarahealth/?hl=enTik Tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@allarahealth?lang=enWebsite: www.femmefarmacy.comInstagram: www.instagram.com/femmefarmacyYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/@FemmeFarmacy/channelsProduced by Peoples Media Hosted on Acast.
