The Murder of Jennifer Marie Schipsi [True Crime Documentary]

Jennifer Schipsi, a gorgeous, successful real estate agent, and Paul Zumot, the fun-loving proprietor of a local hookah bar, were a young couple enjoying the good life in Palo Alto, California. Schipsi and Zumot had broken up and gotten back together multiple times over the course of two years, but by October 2009, Zumot was ready to go serious. He was getting ready to propose around his 36th birthday.

The couple had recently moved into a Palo Alto cottage, and Schipsi told a friend that she had a wonderful feeling about the next stage of their lives. The couple had just lived at their cottage for about a month when a fire broke out on October 15, 2009. Once inside, firefighters crawled on the floor to the sole room in the house that was truly on fire – the bedroom.

The core of the fire, according to French, was a smoldering bed.

He was astounded to discover a body on that bed. On October 19, 2009, Bulos "Paul" Zumot, 36, the proprietor of downtown Palo Alto smoking bar Da Hookah Spot, was arrested on charges of homicide and arson in the death of his girlfriend, Jennifer Schipsi, 29.
