We live in a time in which the potential for success is unprecedented. Teenagers are able to make six figures per year without following the educational path we’ve all been told would make us prosperous. This indicates that we can create businesses beyond what we’ve imagined, but a key element is missing if that feels like an impossible feat. That element is structure. Without it, the ability to scale to the next level will be diminished. We cannot accurately determine the next step unless we know where we stand in our ventures.
One of the difficulties with virtual businesses, including coaching, is that they are often perceived as less tangible than a brick-and-mortar establishment. Thus, as coaches, we don’t take the same steps in building one as a more traditional proprietor might. Strategy and business plans are forgotten, and many coaches struggle to understand why their enterprise is not advancing.
