They started the season 1-3-1 and then went on a heater and won five games in a row and landed them in second place in the Metro. At that time. Since then the Capitals dropped two games against the lowly oilers and San Jose sharks. It seems like their accuracy is off as the puck is hitting everything except the back of the net. The PK which was a strength for the Caps has slipped as well. After going 10 games without allowing a power-play goal, the Capitals' PK has now given up five PPGs over the last three games. Later Dan talks about if Alex Ovechkin has what it takes to catch Gretzky by the end of his contract.
