Do you hate men?  Or if you're a man, do you hate women?  
Your answer may be an immediate yes or no but in my experience, this conversation is much more nuanced than that just that immediate answer.  We've all had so many experiences with the opposite sex, beginning with our parents and continuing throughout all of our relationships in adolescence and adulthood.  And the truth is, whether you recognize it or not, you've probably built up some resistance and resentment against them and in the right situation, this can definitely manifest as hate.
