“What’s the story behind ‘The Kenya Girl’ Portrait?” has been a question from many Bold School students. They are referring to the reference photograph they are taught how to paint in Charla Maarschalk’s Bold Color Bootcamp class.
This iconic image of the Kenya Girl has been painted thousands of times and today we get to hear the story, first hand from Charla, how the photo of the Kenya Girl came to be. Countless artists have been transformed in both skill and spirit through this little girl’s portrait and today we honor the Kenya Girl’s story through the Bold Artist Podcast.
