David Crowe is a telecommunications consultant, environmentalist, writer and critic of science and medicine.David graduated at the top of his science class from Lakehead University in 1978, with a degree in Biology and Mathematics, but gave up his full graduate scholarship in order to become a computer software developer, and then a recognized wireless communications expert, ironically, without a single university course in that field.David was an environmentalist from childhood, and was a co-founder of the Alberta Green Party in 1992. His love of the natural world, concerns about toxic chemicals and interest in scientific mysteries eventually led to a small group of scientists, journalists and gay men who questioned whether HIV was the cause of AIDS, or whether it was caused by recreational drugs and blood transfusions. When he discovered the work of the Perth Group that argued that HIV had never been purified, and might not exist, he applied the same logic to the West Nile Virus, shortly after the 1999 New York epidemic, and drew the same conclusion. He eventually decided to write a book, to be entitled, “The Infectious Myth”, the same name as his weekly radio show that started in 2014. It will argue that AIDS, SARS, Polio, West Nile, Mad Cow and others are environmental diseases, not infectious.David has created a database of almost 9000 documents on viruses, of which almost 4000 are peer-reviewed papers. From each article he extracts the core information, and tags and stores it.
