Today on Autism Live: Dr. Adel Najdowski explains how an Establishing Operation (EO) can help to make reinforcers more powerful.  Shannon and Dr. Najdowski discuss challenging behavior and what to do when you find yourself just accepting challenging behavior as your “new normal”.  Dr. Dorthea Lerman talks about training teachers to be more effective in the classroom and giving them tools to work with students on the spectrum.  Dr. Lerman’s program at the University of Houston-Clear Lake not only trains teachers, it gives the skills to go back to their home schools and train other teachers.  Dr. Lerman, an expert in extreme challenging behavior, talks about some of the issues that make treating challenging behavior difficult.
