Description
Conveniently-named serial killer. Brutal ornament death. Molecular structure talk. Shannon Elizabeth. Jack Frost is the 1997 mutant snowman slasher from writer/director Micahel Cooney. This movie will always be hilariously and mistakenly tied to the 1998 family movie of the same name starring Michael Newton. Jack Frost was originally slated to have a $30 million budget and have Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger) direct. Instead of going the big budget route the movie was handed over to writer Michael Cooney to direct and given a much smaller budget and a straight-to-video release. Jack Frost revolves around the titular serial killer who when being transported to execution comes in contact with a secret government compound and merges his DNA with snow. After that ridiculousness, Jack Frost heads to the small town of Snowmonton to seek revenge on the lowly sheriff that ended up arresting him. Jack terrorizes the small town killing its citizens in s variety of creative and brutal ways.
