Interview with Luis Natera, a software developer and geospatial network scientist. We talk about his vision for the future of cities, urban improvements, car electrification pros and cons, urban choices, and many more.
Dr. Luis Natera is an architect-network scientist focusing on understanding cities from the complex system perspective. He earned a Bachelor in Architecture and Master in Communication of Science and Culture at the Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Guadalajara, Mexico. He holds a Ph.D. in Network Science from the Department of Network and Data Science at the Central European University. He was a visiting research fellow at Center for Civic Media at the Media Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Luis has experience working in the private and public sectors. His academic research interest revolves around urban mobility in multiplex urban networks, bridging urban planning and complex systems. Luis currently works as a software developer focusing in Climate Tech. On his free time he enjoys writing a newsletter about cities and technology.
