Description
with ?️ Ben Kimura Gross, CEO of Systemics Academy, Negotiation Trainer, and Mentor.
? At Negotiation with Goliath, Ben trains sustainability professionals and entrepreneurs to get decision-makers on their side and make your goals their goals.
Today is the big day - the UN Water Conference is kicking off. Since last weekend, many side events also start gathering attention in New York: the finest water minds meet with powerful decision-makers.
But, do they meet as equals, or are the ones quite weaker than the others when it comes to getting their points across and finding common ground in negotiation?
Negotiating with high-end decision-makers can be a stretch for water professionals - after all, we're primarily engineers for a reason, we firmly believe that the good guys will win, and we trust the perfect universe to do his work. Spoiler alert: things don't work that way.
For an entire set of reasons, Ben will detail in a minute, which ranges from tactics to techniques through evolution and nature's law.
But nothing prevents us from winning that game! We "just" have to adopt the right approaches and train a bit.
This is why I thought it might be the right kick to have Ben boost us, especially today, as the serious game starts in New York. And let's be honest, these skills could be of great use every day, including far away from the UN headquarters.
I'll let you dive into Ben's sharing in a second - let me just remind you before that, that if you like what you hear, please take that episode and share it with a colleague, a friend, your boss, or your LinkedIn network! Nothing beats a good recommendation, so please do it, and I'll meet you on the other side.
