As a result, he had limited access to what other kids were listening to and he would cruise around with a little blue radio, listening to Abba and the Village People, Elton John, the Eagles, and Carly Simon. After his parents divorced, Joe began visiting his dad in San Jose and discovered a new world of punk music at a skateboard park. He was hooked! The conversation takes us through Joe's career in music and his transition from owning Side One Dummy Records to stand-up comedy and how punk rock influenced the speaker's life.
