For many, hunting is an escape. For others it is a way of life. Still others view it as a way to reconnect with their primal ancestry. No matter what your views, I’m sure that when you leave the pavement and enter the wild place you are after a certain experience.
In a time of intense social and political polarization, we do our best to have a median approach to what drives us. Yes we eat what we kill. Yes we gawk and ogle at giant bucks on the wall. All parts of wildlife hold value and we do our best to recognize their worth.
What a great discussion on what hunting should be we had with Garry Greenwalt. This fellow understands the satifaction of being outside, the importance of our heritage, and the necessity of understanding where protein comes from. Gary is a man whose many adventures and experiences have yielded him a unique but very familiar appreciation for wildlife and wild places. The quest for great experiences never ends.
