Michigan State's big win over Indiana on Tuesday was not just impactful for the Spartans in the Big Ten race, it meant a whole lot more to a community rocked by a violent mass shooting earlier in the week. Meanwhile, things are in a bad, bad spot in Las Cruces where the New Mexico State Aggies are completely shut down for the season following the termination of head coach Greg Heiar stemming from multiple incidents this year: a forgery charge for an assistant coach, a violent fight between NMSU and New Mexico fans at a football game where NMSU players were involved, a deadly shooting in November involving player Mike Peake, and shocking accusations of hazing permeating the entire program.
