Description

This week is a special one for me. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are the soundtrack to my life. His music was there during my formative years, during my adolescence, my teenage years, high school, college, cross country moves to Los Angeles and back to New England. He was there for good times and bad times. Graduations, breakups, new beginnings, and sometimes his music was just there holding space for me while I figured out what my life was all about. Yes, his music is extremely personal to me and I'm very excited to share with you ten of my favorite underrated and under-appreciated songs from his 70's and 80's classic era. As always I encourage you to legally purchase or stream your music. Buying physical media will always deepen your appreciation for it. I don't monetize this podcast because I do not own the rights to these songs. Please support all the artists that appear on The ABC's of Rock by purchasing their music.Special announcement - I officially have an email dedicated for The ABC's of Rock. You can send your feedback, comments, praise, or complaints to abcofrockpodcast@gmail.com - I would love to hear from some listeners!Featured songs:Strangered In the NightMagnoliaYou Tell MeWhat Are you Doin' In My Life?NightwatchmanFinding outSouthern AccentsA Self Made ManDepending On YouZombie Zoo

The ABC's of Rock Podcast is hosted by Nathan Suher, just a regular guy with a passion for all things that fall under the umbrella of Rock & Roll. Some episodes feature in deep dives into the back catalogue of the musicians that have shaped the landscape of music of the past 60 years. Other episodes feature top ten lists, featured genres of rock, or just simply a fun topic. Either way, Nathan always delivers an entertaining and insightful show with lots of great music and his own flair for sharing his thoughts on the songs.
