Description

Leigh Occhi was a teenager living in Tupelo, Mississippi, who went missing - in the middle of a hurricane.  She was left home alone for less than an hour, but has never been seen since.  Her mother reported her missing, but failed to mention to police the extreme amounts of blood found throughout the house.  An odd collection of items were missing from Leigh's room, including a sleeping bag and newly bought underwear.  Interestingly, Leigh attended church with a man who would later serve jail time for twice kidnapping girls or women from churches he attended and was strongly connected with a third.  This week on your favorite true crime podcast, we are exploring the disappearance of Leigh Occhi.SHOW NOTES:https://medium.com/of-misdeeds-and-mysteries/the-disappearance-of-leigh-occhi-4b2c1aa36c81http://charleyproject.org/case/leigh-marine-occhihttps://www.timetoast.com/timelines/hurricane-andrew-august-1992https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/news/hurricane-andrew-1992https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Andrew#Remainder_of_the_United_Stateshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance_of_Leigh_Occhihttps://www.djournal.com/news/25-years-later-leigh-occhi-case-remains-a-mystery/article_1221cac8-543a-587e-b9e6-f9a1a52d735c.html13: The Search for Leigh Occhi, WTVA PodcastsSmells Like HumansLike listening to funny friends discuss curious human behavior.Listen on: Apple Podcasts   SpotifySupport the show
