The Miami Hurricanes have lost defensive coordinator Kevin Steele to Alabama. He takes the same position under Nick Saban, who he has worked for in the past. Miami now has openings at both offensive and defensive coordinator with less than a month until the start of spring football. Will the Hurricanes promote linebacker coach Charlie Strong into the DC role or would they go outside the program to try and land someone like Charlie Partridge (Pitt DL/ assistant HC) or Jim Leonhard (former WISC DC)?
Host Alex Donno discusses the DC opening and makes the case for promoting Strong while hopefully elevating either DeMarcus Van Dyke or Jason Taylor from analyst to on-field. Alex mentions that there is smoke that Saban also wants to hire Strong, so Miami might lose him if they don’t promote him. Donno gives the latest on the offensive coordinator search, where he hears Toledo head coach Jason Candle has interviewed not only with Mario Cristobal but with athletic director Dan Radakovich. Candle might also be pursued by Notre Dame for their OC position. 
Alex reacts to the criticism of Miami’s NIL by Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim. Boeheim accused Miami of “buying” their basketball team. Donno points out Boeheim having been punished in the recent past for “failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance.”
