The NET rankings are out and Houston, UConn, Purdue, and Virginia all take spots in the top ten, as expected. However, Sam Houston and Mississippi State are unexpected, leading us to ask the question: do early season NET rankings matter?

Oscar Tshiebwe, Armando Bacot, and Drew Timme are all still in the conversation as well, but perhaps it is not a coincidence that all three are on struggling teams (and same with Hunter Dickinson from Michigan).
Finally, we close the show discussing the Mountain West Conference, which houses three of the 12 remaining undefeated teams. How legit is the MWC this year, how many teams could they put in the big dance, and which teams might be sleepers this year.
