David is a busy man. In addition to his teaching position at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, David is also a member of the Grammy-winning Santa Fe Opera Orchestra, the Principal Cornetest of the North Carolina Brass Band, and Principal Trumpet of the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle. He is also half of The Dash Duo, performing alongside his wife Mary Elizabeth Bowden, and co-founder of the APEX Trumpet Symposium. And he’s just getting warmed up.
