Description

It could be tough to get where you want to be this holiday. Nasty weather across a wide swath of the country including rain, snow, and a bitter cold blast over the next several days. Nearly 113 million Americans expected to travel for the holidays, more than a third of the population. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy heads to the Capitol to meet with President Biden and address a joint session of Congress. It's his first foreign trip since Russia invaded his country in February. Former President Trump's long effort to keep his tax returns hidden is coming to an end. Congress had big stacks of documents wheeled in, as House Democrats voted to finally make those returns public. Texas is trying to counter America's border crisis with a big show of force. Members of the Texas National Guard have been deployed, along with heavy duty equipment, to help keep migrants out amid fears of a major spike in asylum-seekers, if a pandemic-era policy is allowed to expire. In northern California, the power is still out for more than 14,000 customers hit by yesterday's powerful earthquake. The Governor declared a state of emergency for the area, about 200 miles north of San Francisco. In Afghanistan, the Taliban is limiting more rights and freedoms for its female citizens. The Government ordered a ban yesterday on women attending universities. This means girls won't be able to get more than a sixth- grade education in that country.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
