Description

Friends of the Rosary:
Today, October 1st, on the month dedicated to the Holy Rosary, we honor, on her Memorial Day, St. Therese of the Child Jesus, more popularly known as "the Little Flower.

Today, we also celebrate the Holy Face of Jesus.

St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus (1873-1897), a French cloistered Carmelite nun, was declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope St. John Paul II. Her interior life is known through her autobiography Story of a Soul.

She attained holiness by being at the service of others at all times and by having a childlike confidence in God's providence and merciful love.
She carried out her ordinary daily duties with perfect fidelity. She prayed especially for priests and the conversion of souls.
Thérèse of Lisieux died of consumption on September 30, 1897, at the age of 24, and was canonized in 1925.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
