[Comment: Gratitude]
Friends of the Rosary:
Today, Memorial Day in the U.S. is also the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to her cousin Elizabeth, mother of the John the Baptist — who was cleansed from the original sin in the womb of his mother. It happened shortly after the Annunciation.
Elizabeth, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, proclaimed Mary as Mother of God. Mary recited the Magnificat, glorifying the Lord and rejoicing in Him.
Following Her extreme humility, Mary expressed gratitude to the Eternal Father. Those who died for the country showed gratitude and mercy, as well. On this Memorial Day, we remember them and their families.
