Description
[Comment: Preaching But No Practice]
Friends of the Rosary:
As humans, we are weak and despite our high hopes and intentions, we mostly don't follow the Eternal Word of Jesus Christ. We behave like the scribes and the Pharisees: we preach but we do not practice—as Jesus described in Matthew 23:1-12, that we read yesterday.
In our time, Christianity in the U.S. and elsewhere seems to be just background wonderful music.
However, there are living saints dwelling among us out of the public eye, who continue carrying the Word and assisting the poor and the sick. They walk silently through their Via Dolorosa, on their way to the Calvary.
They follow Our Savior's core teaching: "The greatest among you must be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, but whoever humbles himself will be exalted." (Mt 23:1-12).
For everyone else, the least we can do is to remain humble, do some penance, and ask for forgiveness.
Ave Maria!
