Description

Leslie is the founder of Youth Protection Advocates in Dance” (YPAD)  whose Mission is to build empowered dance communities through education and activism. We talk about Self & Identity, Social Media Literacy and Mental Health tools, curriculum and workshops for Dnacers. Leslie also shares her journey beholding shame resiliency and what propelled her into the advocacy of emotion, physical and sexual health for dancers across the world.  After serving as Faculty at the Edge Performing Arts for 14 years and Millennium Dance Complex for 12 years, she chose to leave Hollywood in December of 2017 after 16 years and relocate to Colorado to be with family, raise her daughter in a calmer environment and continue developing services and curriculum that advocate for youth. She has been guest faculty on several conventions including The Pulse, Dance Olympus, Dance Teacher Web, One Family Festival and more and is represented by the agency McDonald Selznick Association (MSA) in Hollywood, California.
