Description

Andrew Rudin was born and raised in the suburbs of Jacksonville, Florida.  He moved to Tallahassee in 1998 to attend Florida State University and graduated with a degree in International Relations & Geography.  Soon after he landed a job creating maps for the State of Florida’s Geological Survey to help protect the state’s aquifers. In 2003, after 5 years in quaint Tallahassee, Andrew was invited on a random road trip to Austin, Texas.  One year later he decided to pack what he could into his car and move there. 18 years later he still lives there, working in the field of geography as a Data Architect for the City of Austin.Since 2004, he’s seen the city go through many growth spurts to become the place it is today. When he’s not toiling away in front of a computer or giving cuddles to his Italian Greyhound, Felix, Andrew enjoys venturing downtown to Austin’s nightlife, day trips to the Texas Hill Country, and finding excuses to travel abroad.   Austin is the state capital of Texas, an inland city bordering the Hill Country region. Home to the University of Texas flagship campus, Austin is known for its eclectic live-music scene centered around country, blues and rock. Its many parks and lakes are popular for hiking, biking, swimming and boating. South of the city, Formula One's Circuit of the Americas raceway has hosted the United States Grand Prix.Elevation: 489′Population: 965,872 (2020)If you enjoy these podcasts, please make a donation by clicking the coffee cup on any page of our website www.wheredogaysretire.com.
