Description

Hola mi gente, I hope you are doing well! This week I had the absolute pleasure of interviewing Miguel Maravilla Mendoza, a first-generation U.S. citizen born Latino who works in tech, and is heavily committed to paving the way to open doors for our comunidad. In this episode we learn about Miguel's professional trajectory and how he got into his Program Manager role, without a formal education. We then learn about the different mental health challenges he had to overcome in order to be who he is today. In all honestly, mi gente, we get into some heavy topics but it is necessary to shed a light on them in order to continue breaking the mental health stigmas/cycles that tend to be embedded in our community. It is important for all of us to learn how we can grow to be better everyday. He is currently opened to mentoring other Latino/a/x/e individuals who want to break into tech so definitely feel free to reach out.
