Description

This week we pause to help the people of Ukraine.  Here are 12 initiatives that you can support immediately - financially or otherwise. Also note there are lots of great local initiatives being set up where people are collecting material (dry food such as rice, yoga mats and/or sleeping mats, hot water bottles, tampons/pads, flasks, sleeping bags, etc.) to bring to the Polish/Ukrainian border. So have a good look around you which initiatives are developing. Good trustworthy organizations that you can directly donate to are:  International Rescue Committee:  The IRC is on the ground in Poland and preparing to support displaced families. https://www.rescue.org/press-release/russia-invades-ukraine-and-civilians-desperately-seek-safety-irc-prepares-worst-and   UNHCR:  UNHCR has been working in Ukraine since 1994, alongside local authorities, partners and community organizations.
