On the Mediterranean island of Corsica nationalist parties have achieved a hitherto undreamt of hegemony over island politics. Regional elections over last week confirmed this dominance, and we're breaking down how this has been achieved and the history of Corsican nationalism. While we're there, we survey the results of the rest of the French regional elections, which saw surprisingly good results for the traditional left and right blocs.
