Description
Timeouts are one of a coaches only really influential tactics from the sideline and if they are used in a smart way, they can dramatically affect how your team plays.
Today on The VolleyPod, Davis and Tod discuss timeouts, and why, when and how to use them to great effect, as well as a few habits to avoid.
Then, they explore some ways that black and white rules can be helpful for your team, and some other times when rules with some room to adjust may be better.
They also share a set of research from Angela Duckworth that places a higher importance on determination and meaningful action over time than intelligence and sometimes even genetics, and inspired millions of people in the process.
In addition, they share a blog post and 2 drills from The Art of Coaching Volleyball's tremendous library of resources, that can help coaches fine tune their timeout-taking philosophies
