Description
Zoe McBride was a three-time world champion for rowing. But her success came at a huge personal toll- physically first in the form of an obsession with her weight, then mentally.
It all came to a head in April last year when Zoe and her rowing partner, Jackie Kiddle were gearing up for the Tokyo Olympics (where a medal was almost a certainty). They never made it to the Olympics. After endless months of wrestling with demons, Zoe made the call to put her physical and mental health first, a move that crushed not only her own Olympic dream, but Jackie’s as well.
This is the incredible story of Zoe McBride- the world champion rower who prioritized her physical and mental health over likely Olympic glory.
