The Baylor Bears meet their toughest opponent of 2022 thus far as the top-10 Oklahoma State Cowboys march their way to Waco. While Mike Gundy is 2-1 against Dave Aranda, the latter has the latest laugh after a thrilling win in last year's Big 12 championship game. That is certainly on the minds of both teams as they prepare to tilt on Saturday.
For Baylor, the rush defense has been impeccable. Really, holding each opponent under 100 rush yards to start the year is a wild stat. Even in games that saw Baylor pull starters early or go three deep, every player the defense has trotted out has had a nose for the run game. If that persists, Spencer Sanders will have to throw the ball.
For Oklahoma State, if Sanders has to throw the ball, he will inevitably cough it up. In two games against the Bears last season, the veteran Cowboy threw seven interceptions. That is absurd. If that trend continues on Saturday, the Cowboys are in for a long afternoon at McLane Stadium.
