Description

Ted Aguilar is the guitarist for one of the quintessential Bay Area trash metal bands: Death Angel. After being a fan of Death Angel from the beginning, he was asked to join as the rhythm guitarist when the band reformed in 2001, after being on hiatus for most of the 90s. We spoke with Aguilar about the new live album 'Bastard Tracks', a collection of rare or never performed live tracks that span the bands 30+ year existence. We also spoke about how he ended up joining the band, the Bay Area trash scene, his favorite tracks to play live, having perseverance in a difficult industry, adapting to life as a musician during the pandemic, working on a new Death Angel album, and a lot more! Interview by: Robin Hignell Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/FaceCulture)

While we operate mainly on YouTube and other video services, with this podcast we wan't to enable people to listen to a selection of both old and new interviews whenever and however they prefer. A short disclaimer: Because a lot of our interviews are conducted at festivals, music venues, hotels, restaurants, and the like, the quality of the audio isn't always in our full control, so please bare with us when the sound quality doesn't always match that of other podcasts. Having said that, we do want to provde the listener with as comfortable a listening experiences as possible, so not every interview that we do as FaceCulture will find its way to the podcast. All interviews we do are still available on www.youtube.com/faceculture. Thanks for your continued support!
