The Los Angeles Angels took game 1 of a three-game set against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday, as they received some help from the middle of the order in the form of Matt Duffy, Jo Adell, Mike Ford, and Taylor Ward! Patrick Sandoval pitched 5 innings and looked shaky at times, but the Halos were able to get him his 6th win of the season. Mike and Jon will recap "Tuesday in Texas" in segment 1!
Then, get to know the Angels' new shortstop callup, Liván Soto! He's a promising young fielder who is getting his chance to shine in the absence of David Fletcher and Andrew Velazquez with two weeks of the season left. We'll share our thoughts on Soto in segment 2!
Plus, the Halos' OPS at each position has not been great, except for Center Field and DH (Gee, I wonder why?). We'll give you the stats and share our perspective on if the Angels should seek improvements at those positions or if the players filling the role will get better in 2023!
