Description

Travel, and especially the hospitality sector, have definitely been impacted by the pandemic and other factors over the recent years. And these impacts also have implications for business travel and business travelers. In this episode, Dr. Peter Ricci, Director of Florida Atlantic University’s hospitality and tourism management program, joins podcast host, Debbie Iannaci, head of GBTA Communications and Research, to discuss the most immediate challenges in the hospitality industry right now, what they might mean for business travel and travelers, and what the industry needs to be thinking about now to foster a strong hospitality sector in the future.   A hospitality leader with over 25 years of experience in the industry and academia, for the last 12 years Dr. Ricci has focused on developing FAU’s program which is ranked among the Top 30 in the U.S. and is also one of the top MBA programs for hospitality and tourism. He is a frequent speaker on hospitality trends. Most recently, he has been vocal about the urgent need to address the shortage in hospitality workers brought on by the pandemic and create a new way forward to attract and keep talent in the industry.
